Every nation, society, and religion has its own traditions and customs dating a macedonian girl about what a wedding should seem like because it is such an important occasion. The Ottomans are no different, and when it comes to their wedding customs, they have some very fascinating ones. This article will discuss some of these distinctive Balkan marriage customs that might be worth upholding and celebrating.
Marriages are typically seen as an occasion to celebrate passion, a few getting married, and starting over. They were a special occasion that brought along two individuals and an entire community in the past, but they were much more than that. They were therefore a crucial part of our lives because of that.
Again the bride and groom were formally engaged, the marriage preparation may begin. For the community individuals, they and their friends do spent months sewing and embroidering clothing, clothes, and towels. They even created unique decor for the cathedral. The bride-to-be and her companions had browse each household whose associates were expected to attend the ceremony festival, and the majority of the invites were given orally.
There were some superstitions that had to be followed when it was moment for the wedding to insert the couple’s house. For instance, in some Bulgarian regions, it was customary for godparents to hang a particular emblem at the bride’s home after thoroughly discarding it to protect the newlyweds from poor magic and evil influences. The symbol was sewn with red or green threads and hung from the groom.
There may be additional superstitions as well, depending on the area. For instance, in Montenegro, the brides were required to move over a carpet that had been covered in razor because this was supposed to guarantee that they would have guys. Additionally, it was typical for the wife in Kosovo to kiss mister from her mother-in-law’s palm. This was intended to keep the two’s ties calm and guarantee their happiness and prosperity.
There would be a lot of dance and wild enjoyment following the civil and religious festival. Individuals enjoyed sipping rakia to savor the happiness of marriage. And even though ceremonies these times are more about the few than the celebration and consuming, they are still a happy occasion for everyone who attends.
